As a self-acclaimed intelligent creature, I can resonate with a large chunk of the ideas laid out in this article — although I wouldn’t consider the entire ordeal to be ‘miserable’.

One particular idea that struck a chord with me was this passage that I highlighted. This has been a chronic problem that I find myself lapsing in and out of in my past relationships, but I have never framed it in a way that accounted my intelligence (and lack of emotional quotient).

It’s always interesting to see somebody put words on previously unnamed phenomena. It provides new perspectives on seemingly menial occurrences.
