My daily diet consists of low carbs, a majority of which comes from complex carbs like oatmeal and pasta, a bit of simple sugars from fruits & raw honey, but otherwise I consume no refined sugars whatsoever.
I’ve adhered to this diet since 2015 and it’s one of the best decisions in my life (on par with routine exercises).
Sugars are in my opinion, much worse than fats in terms of nutrition and addiction profile. Sadly the general consensus talks more about low-fat and fat-free diets instead of sugar-reduced diets.
